About

Dan Inglis is a visual artist and tinkerer based in Kirikiriroa/Hamilton, Aotearoa/New Zealand. His experimental digital films, often examining ideas of perception and (mis)communication, have been well received at film festivals, in art galleries, and on television around the world.
Several of Dan’s photographs of stage and film productions, and other events, have featured in newspapers and magazines.
Dan also likes to build things. In 2016-17 a dollshouse he build from mostly salvaged materials was exhibited at MTG Hawke’s Bay in Ahuriri/Napier, Aotearoa/New Zealand.
In 2009 Dan founded Luminis Limited, a company providing professional services to art galleries, artists, photographic laboratories, commercial businesses, and the public.
Dan received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Waikato in 2000.
